George D. Busenburg

  • George attended Fredricktown High School in Fredricktown, Ohio and The Ohio State University

  • Athletic trainer for the Columbus RedBirds Baseball Team from 1939-45

  • Assistant athletic trainer at The Ohio State University 1944-71

  • Recognized as an innovative and creative "inventor" of protective devices and treatment modalities

  • Attended the initial meeting of the National Athletic Trainer' Association

Billy A. Hill

  • Billy was born in Memphis and attended Tennessee State University before receiving his B.S. from The Ohio State University

  • Co-Head Athletic Trainer, The Ohio State University from 1971 until his untimely death in February, 1995

  • Athletic trainer for USA Junior Olympic Trials - 1988; Olympic Games in Los Angeles - 1984; World Championship Games in Helsinki - 1983; USA Junior Olympic Team in USSR and West Germany - 1978; and Pan American Games in Mexico City - 1975

  • OATA Executive Committee - 1990-95; OATA President - 1992-94; OATA University Trainer of the Year - 1988

  • NATA Minority Trainers Committee; United States Olympic Committee Sports Medicine Council; NATA Clinical Symposium Host Trainer - 1987; Speaker, Dallas - 1994 and Indianapolis - 1990

 
       
   

Patricia J. Troesch

  • Pat, a graduate of West High School in Columbus, received both her B.S. and M.A. in Education from The Ohio State University

  • Curriculum coordinator/athletic trainer at Miami University from 1980 to present; assistant athletic trainer at Bowling Green State University from 1978-80

  • GLATA representative to NATA History and Archives Committee - 1991-93; OATA District Board representative 1989-92; NATA membership committee - 1980-88; GLATA secretary 1980-88

  • OATA University Trainer of the Year - 1990; Miami University Alumni Association Effective Educator Award - 1987
