Ronald L. Walter

  • A graduate of Upper Arlington High School, Ron has returned to serve as Head Athletic Trainer there since 1980

  • Received BA from Mount Union College and MA from Bowling Green State University, and was Athletic Trainer for Delaware Hayes High School from 1974-80

  • First President of the OATA (1984-86); Past Chairman of the Sports Medicine Section of OAHPERD in 1978 and 1980; First High School member of OSMA Joint Advisory Committee on Sports Medicine

  • Local Chairman of NATA national convention in 1987

Albert W. Rector

  • A native of Brooklyn, New York, Al served as Head Athletic Trainer at Ohio Wesleyan University from 1951 until his retirement in 1978

  • Also performed athletic trainer services to Buckeye Valley and Olentangy High Schools.

  • Received College Football Centennial Award in 1969 and Downtown Coaches' Association Award in 1979.

  • Inducted into the Ohio Wesleyan University Athletic Hall of Fame in 1982.

 
       
   

Paul F. Spear

  • After graduation from Hilliard High School, Paul attended St. Francis School of Nursing, received his B.S. from Marietta College, and attended Ohio State University for athletic training. He received his M.S. from Ball State University

  • Currently chairman and full professor in the Department of Sports Medicine at Marietta College, where he has been employed since 1964

  • Past Chairman of Sports Medicine Section of OAHPERD (1985), and member of NATA Professional Education committee, Paul has given major presentations at OAHPERD, GLATA and NATA meetings

  • Recipient of the Sayers "Bud" Miller Distinguished Athletic Trainer Educator Award, and the Sears-Roebuck Teaching Excellence Award, both in 1990
