William R. (Bill) Davis

  • Bill received his B.S. from the Ohio State University, and M.S. in Education Administration from Oklahoma State University

  • Asst. Athletic Trainer at Oklahoma State University - 1981-84

  • Recipient of National Athletic Trainers Assn. Service Award in 1998, OATA Special Recognition Award in 1996 and OATA Trainer of the Year in 1990

  • Member and Athletic Trainer Section Chair of Ohio OT, PT, AT Board - 1990-96

  • Career highlights include educating Student Athletic Trainers since 1979

  • Bill resides in Columbus with this wife, Tammy and daughters Kelly and Melanie

Michael J. Slough

  • Mike received his B.S. in Education from Ohio Northern University and his M.S. in Education from Bowling Green State University

  • Teacher at Findlay High School since 1969; Athletic trainer from 1972 to present

  • Member of OATA High School Committee - 1994-2000

  • One of 28 athletic trainers who attended original OATA organizational meeting in 1984 and has attended every OATA annual meeting since

  • Member of City of Findlay Parks and Recreation Committee for the past ten years

  • President and Board Member of Findlay Youth Baseball Assn. - 1982-88

  • Supervised an estimated 75 student aides at Findlay High School

  • Mike resides in Findlay with his wife, Mary.  They are parents to two sons, Eric and Curtis

       
   

Gary E. Briggs

  • Gary attended the University of Florida and received A.A. degree from Santa Fe Community College in Gainesville, Florida, prior to receiving his B.S. from Morehead State University

  • Head Athletic Trainer - Utah Jazz Professional Basketball Team - 2000-present

  • Head Athletic Trainer - Cleveland Cavaliers Professional Basketball Team - 1982-2000

  • Head Athletic Trainer - Troy State University - 1980-82

  • Head Athletic Trainer - Glenoak High School - 1975-1980

  • National Basketball Trainers' Assn.  Trainer of the Year - 1999

  • Chair of National Basketball Trainers' Assn. - 1993-95
