The Legislative committee is charged with the reviewing and monitoring of the Constitution, By-Laws and Code of Ethics.

It communicates with the Chair of the Athletic Trainers Section of the OTPTAT Board of Ohio on behalf of the OATA.

This committee also serves as the organization’s Governmental Affairs Committee (GAC), and as such they are charged with monitoring and making recommendations to the Executive Committee concerning current AT practice acts and any state or federal legislation that may affect the profession of athletic training.
