Attention Ohio Athletic Training Students
We want your involvement in our state organization. As a student of athletic training, you are the future of our profession. We need your input and involvement in the OATA.

How do I become an OATA member?
There are two ways to become a member:

1. Join the NATA at www.nata.org. Your national membership dues will also cover your OATA dues.

2. Non-NATA members may join the OATA for only $5.00. Click HERE to join.

How do I get involved?

Student Senator:
One student senator is elected each year for a two-year term, with two student senators serving with the OATA and GLATA at any given time. The role of the student senator is to act as a liaison between the athletic training students in the state, OATA, and GLATA; as well as, to assist in the planning of the GLATA Winter Meeting Student Education Program (SEP).  Applications can be accessed HERE. The deadline for applications is December 1st. Student senators must be able to serve the full two-year term.

OATA Committees:
Students may now sit on selected OATA committees. For consideration on an OATA committee, please complete a universal interest form, which is found HERE.

Student Awards and honors

Scholarships:
The OATA awards one $1500 College & University scholarship, as well as a $1000 Family Scholarship for the son or daughter of an OATA member. All applications must have a completed application and a supporting sponsor letter. The due date for applications is February 1st and can be accessed HERE.

Student Leadership Awards
This new award recognizes outstanding athletic training students in the state. Nominations for awards may be obtained HERE. All applications are due on February 1st.
